Coroner identifies man killed in traffic accident on Monticello Rd

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the victim that died as a result of a traffic accident on Monticello Road on Thursday. 54-year-old Christopher Felder of Winnsboro was last seen around September 22 and was reported missing on September 26 by his brother Watts said. On Thursday, Felder’s body was recovered from a vehicle that was upside down in the 8700 block of Monticello Road. Officials say it appears that the vehicle left the roadway, struck several trees and flipped upside down. Identification was made Friday by using x-rays of previous medical procedures. An autopsy conducted Friday morning shows tha Felder died from multi-trauma associated with the crash and that the wreck likely happened around September 22.
