Officer Dashcam Video Bill Postponed

officergun-jpg_bim.jpg  COLUMBIA , SC (AP)– Senate panel postponed action Thursday on a bill intended to make it easier for the public to obtain a law enforcement officer’s dashcam video. The measure sponsored by Judiciary Committee Chairman Larry Martin would require a law enforcement agency to get a judge’s blessing to deny a public records request. If a judge agrees the video should not yet be released, the public could then sue and take the request to open court.
