Tropical Storm Colin
Tropical Storm Colin is in the Gulf of Mexico and moving quickly off to the northeast. The latest report from the Hurricane Center shows the storm with 50 mph winds and moving to the northeast at 23 mph.
With the storm moving so fast, it’ll already be just north of Savannah at 4:00 on Tuesday morning.
And Colin will be off the North Carolina Coast by 10:00 AM on Tuesday.
So what about impacts? The only impacts in the Midlands will be rain, with a threat of some flooding in the eastern Midlands – places like eastern Orangeburg County as well as Clarendon County. This map shows the rainfall estimates for the storm. The red lines are 4+ inches. So flooding is possible from the eastern Midlands all the way to the coast overnight on Tuesday.
