Restoring Hope for Flood Victims This Holiday Season

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – United Way of the Midlands, which launched its “Restoring Hope” initiative in October, is continuing its push to get flood victims back in their homes this holiday season.

Since starting the initiative one year after the historic flood, United Way says it’s restored 90 homes in Richland and Lexington Counties. 29 homes are in progress. The agency has raised $380,000 since the launch.

However, there are still many families that have yet to return home. Watch ABC Columbia’s Grace Joyal’s interview with Anita Floyd, the Senior VP for Community Impact and Strategic Implementation at United Way of the Midlands, to learn how you can help.
