Most all of us in the Midlands will see some form of a wintry mix on Saturday morning. But if you’re a big fan of snow, you’ll probably be a bit disappointed – the accumulations will be on the light side. The reason is that the cold air will take its time blowing in from the northwest. So by the time it arrives on Saturday morning, most of the moisture will be gone. If you live in north and west of Columbia (places like Newberry and Winnsboro), then you should expect up to 2 inches of snow. The Central Midlands will see a dusting to as much as an inch. And farther to the southeast there will be no accumulation at all.
