COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- The Columbia Fire Department has a unique plan to recruit future fire fighters.
On Wednesday, the department donated three fire trucks to Richland School District One and Two and Lexington Richland Five.
The trucks will be used in fire-fighting training programs at high schools in those districts.
Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins says the trucks will give students real-world experience.

The trucks will be located at Lower Richland High School, Westwood High School, and The Center for Advanced Technical Studies.
