Very Warm and Dry February

The numbers are in.  And February in Columbia was much warmer than normal – a full 3.7 degrees warmer.  The average temperature for the month was 52.8°.   As for rainfall, we only received 1.88 inches of rain – about 55% of the normal for the month.  And as you see from the graph below, February temperatures continue to get warmer.  Since 1970, the average February temperature has climbed 4.6°.
