SCDOR to no longer issue debit cards for refunds after June 29

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— The South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) says they will no longer issue prepaid debit cards for Individual Tax refunds after June 29.

This comes after the SCDOR’s debit card provider, Bank of America, decided to phase out its prepaid debit card program.

According to SCDOR, the majority of South Carolinians choose to receive their refunds as direct deposits or paper checks.
