Midlands couple plan to travel more with $200,000 lottery win

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands couple has won after playing the lottery, said SC Lottery officials.

Lottery officials said the wife is no longer “fussing” at her husband for playing the Lottery after the couple won $200,000.

The couple won the windfall off a $5 ticket the husband brought home from the Sharpe Shoppe #1 on Blythewood Road in Blythewood.

“It was great to win,” she admitted to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

The couple is looking forward to taking a trip or two with the prize money.

The odds of winning $200,000 in the Big Wins Extra Play! game are 1 in 780,000.

Two more top prizes remain in the game, according to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
