Sumter County roads closed due to traffic accident

Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says a Wednesday afternoon traffic accident had the highway closed to traffic between Narrow Paved Road and Amwell Church Road in Lynchburg.

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says a Wednesday afternoon traffic accident had the highway closed to traffic between Narrow Paved Road and Amwell Church Road in Lynchburg.

Lynches River Road is open to traffic, but South of Lynches Road is closed.

Sumter County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are at the scene.

People are asked to drive carefully, and avoid the area if possible.
