SC Highway Patrol on slick, snowy roads

From Meteorologist Tyler Ryan:

“After a day long snow event that brought 2-6 or so inches to the State, the skies are bright this morning, but the sun isn’t going to bring the heat.
The roads this morning are NOT AWESOME. Most secondary roads are covered with packed snow, which is very slippery, and even the highways have large pockets of ice and snow around them.
IF you don’t NEED to be on the roads, it would make a great stay home and cook soup with the Family day.
Look for the highs today only reaching 34 degrees, so we won’t lose much of the snow, at least not until tomorrow and Tuesday.”

Expect freezing temperatures overnight and the roads to stay slick into Monday.

We will see temperatures drop dangerously low overnight Sunday and we could see low temperatures into Monday.

Meteorologist Tyler Ryan says road conditions are poor across the Midlands and may not melt even into Monday in some areas.

In this Forecast update, Chief Meteorologist John Farley and Meteorologist Tyler Ryan take a look at conditions, your forecast and temps overnight.

Remember to keep warm, wrap pipes, drip faucets and prepare for temperatures to dip into the teens Saturday night in Sunday.

The snow is fun but keep in mind overnight into Monday, we could see dangerously low temperatures according to Chief Meteorologist John Farley.
