Manmade Gourmet’s Love It or Chuck It: Air Fried Taco Stuffed Shells
The Manmade Gourmet, Tyler Ryan and Crysty Vaughan crisp up some shells for an interesting Mexican food staple
LEXINGTON SC (WOLO) –
Everybody and their brother have recipes on the Internet. Some a tried and true, some are just crazy, but either way, when they go viral, the Manmade Gourmet, Tyler Ryan and Crysty Vaughan hit the kitchen.
This week, Tyler Ryan (The Manmade Gourmet) and Crysty Vaughan decided to pair something of an Italian – Mexican mash up.
Yep, Air Fried Taco Stuffed Shells
Per usual, we tried to stick, as best we could, to the recipe that we found…
There are only a few things you need for this one:
24 jumbo pasta shells, cooked to Al Dente
½ pound of ground beef
½ white onion
½ green pepper
Taco seasoning
1/14 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
How to make it:
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the cooked pasta; set aside.
- Cook the 1/2 Lb. Extra Lean Ground Beef, 1/2 White Onion, and 1/2 Green Bell Pepper in a medium skillet until the meat is browned and the veggies are tender.
- Add in 1 Tbsp. Taco Seasoning and stir to combine; remove from heat.
- Set out your cooked pasta shells and fill half of them with 1 Tbsp. meat and 1 Tbsp. cheese. Wrap a second shell around the first to seal in the meat and cheese. Rinse and repeat until all the pasta shells are used up.
- Lightly coat the inside of an air fryer basket with non-stick spray and place the stuffed shells into it. Give the shells a light spray of non-stick spray and secure the basket in the air fryer.
- Set to 350 and cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip the shells over and cook for another 5 minutes or until the pasta has a little crunch to it.
- Once done, remove from the air fryer and enjoy right away with salsa or queso for dipping!
THIS is where the inspiration came from!

Lessons learned:
- We cooked it WAY too much in the air frier. Even though it is supposed to be crunchy like a taco shells, it made it feel like we were eating just raw shells
- Don’t use the liners, so that the burgers can drip down into the bottom
