Update: Kidnapped Lexington teen found safe, say police
LEXINGTON, SC (WOLO)—Lexington Police say a kidnapped teenager has been found safe. According to police, 17 year old Sema’j Corvin Gardner was found safe by detectives Monday night with the assistance of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI.
Police say the investigation will continue.
On Sunday night Lexington police say Gardner, 17, was forced from his home on Hendrix Street by two unknown Black males who were armed with handguns.
Witnesses told police they saw Gardner and two subjects walking towards Barr Road from Hendrix Street and they are believed to have gotten into a car and left the area.
Again, Police say Gardner has been found safe.
