Richland Co. deputies respond to drowning at Eastover Park Pool

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– RCSD says deputies responded to a home in Eastover to take a missing person report on Wednesday morning.

On June 3, 2026, around 8:30 a.m., Richland County deputies responded to a home in Eastover after a woman reported her adult son as last seen at the home around 4 p.m. the night of Tues, June 2, 2026.

A few hours later, just after 12 p.m., deputies responded to Eastover Park at 1031 Main Street in Eastover in reference to an unresponsive man in the pool.

Deputies were informed park staff located the drowning victim while opening up the facility, says RCSD.

The victim was pronounced dead at the facility and identified as the man reported missing this morning.

At this time, investigators do not suspect foul play.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office as of yet has not identified the victim.
