President Trump tells DOJ to look into gouging by gas companies

(CNN)– Earlier Wednesday (June 24) President Trump said he ordered the Justice Department to look into what he called “gouging” by big oil companies.

In a Truth Social post, the president wrote the big oil companies are not dropping their price at the pump commensurate with the sharply lower prices they are paying for oil.

He wrote the oil prices are dropping like a rock, while customers are being “gouged” for gasoline.

Trump warned gasoline prices better start going down a lot faster than what he’s seeing.

The international oil benchmark Brent Crude slid to under $77 a barrel today.
