Lexington Co. coroner identifies person who died after house fire

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died after a house fire on Wednesday night, said the coroner’s office.

The house fire happened on Wednesday night, June 24, around 9:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Juniper Springs Road in the Gilbert area.

Coroner Fisher identified the person as Sherill Asbill, of Gilbert.

Asbill was pronounced dead at the scene, and an autopsy will be scheduled at MUSC in Charleston.
