Truck driver killed in wreck on SC-213 in Fairfield Co.

FAIRFIELD CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a truck driver is dead following a wreck Wednesday night.

It happened at SC Highway 213 near the intersection with Pumphouse Road at 7:15 p.m.

According to Master Trooper William Bennett, a 2013 Mack Truck was driving south, when they ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, a fence and a tree, then overturned.

The driver died on scene.

The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of late.

Highway Patrol is investigating.
