Richland County deputies investigating assault at ASGDC
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies are investigating an assault that happened at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Monday, says RCSD.

On Monday, September 21, around 9:40 a.m., while at the ASGDC, RCSD investigators were notified of a medical call in reference to an inmate that had been assaulted.
Upon arriving in the medical bay, investigators made contact with the victim who had sustained injuries to his head and face, say officials.
He was later taken to the hospital by EMS.
Investigators later determined that the victim had been assaulted by multiple people while in the outdoor recreation area.
James Oxendine, Jaymar Simmons, Alexander Jones, and Alterik Mays were all charged with assault by mob 2nd degree.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
