RCSD on scene of stand-off along Night Heron Court

Richland Co., SC (WOLO) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is on the scene of a Domestic incident along Night Heron Court near Hardscrabble Road. According to authorities, the situation started around 4:30 Monday evening.

Deputies say they were called to the home after reports of shots fired from the home. As of 9:30 p.m., deputies have spent the past 5 hours trying to get were in the 5th hour of trying to contact the suspect. Officials say they eventually discovered the suspect ran to the back of the home and was believed to still be inside.

Once RCSD investigators were able to gain entry into the home they were unable to locate the suspect, but say they do not believe the individual is still in the area and say this is a isolated incident.

Residents are asked to stay clear of the Northeast neighborhood as the scene remains active.
