Sheriff: Dispute Leads To Shooting In Lexington County

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Three men were arrested in connection with a Saturday shooting after a dispute left three people injured say deputies.

Investigators said a disagreement between people in a romantic relationship led to the shooting.

Carl Randel Coleman, 47, and Little Johnny Wilson, 44, both of Gaston, are charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to arrest warrants, Carl Coleman is also charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person.

A third man Anton Bernard Coleman, 43, of Orangeburg County is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at a person.

“Detectives on this case have determined it all started with a civil dispute at a home in the 200 block of Oak Turn Lane in Gaston earlier Saturday,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.

During the shooting one of the three men who were arrested was shot.

Sheriff Koon said Anton Coleman was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and then later arrested on Sunday after his discharge.

“According to statements gathered at the scene, the disagreement centers on people involved in a romantic relationship,” said Sheriff Koon.

Anton and Carl Coleman, and Wilson are being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
