Lexington-Richland School District Five continues to make sure no child goes hungry
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington-Richland School District Five’s Student Nutrition department is continuing to make sure no child goes hungry by offering meals to students within the district’s after-school program.
The program began in October and will end June 1.
District officials say meals will be offered Monday through Friday to students enrolled in afterschool programs at Harbison West Elementary School, Leaphart Elementary School,
Seven Oaks Park, CrossRoads Intermediate School, and YMCA Northwest location on Kennerly Road.
Meals will be provided to all children enrolled in the after-school programs without charge, say officials.
A sponsorship from the Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food Program makes the free meals from the district possible.
Anyone with questions or concerns can email or call the Department of Student Nutrition at nutritionservices@lexrich5.org or 803-476-8154.
