Man arrested for breaking-in to Sumter PD vehicle
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A Mayesville man is facing a long list of charges, after being arrested for breaking into vehicles belonging to the Sumter Police Department, Sumter County and the state of South Carolina.
Sumter Co. Sheriff’s Office officials said 19-year-old Nathian Pratt was arrested Saturday, for a handful of incidents dating back to April 6.
Items Pratt is said to have taken from the cars include shotguns, munitions, digital cameras and a ballistic vest. All of it adds up to a few thousand dollars.
Warrants allege that Pratt carried out the break-ins with co-defendants.
The Sumter Co. Sheriff’s Office reports Pratt is charged with Larceny, breaking into motor vehicles or tanks, pumps, where fuel, lubricants is stored; three counts Conspiracy; three counts Bomb, Violation of SC Explosives Control Act, 1st offense.
Pratt is being held atthe Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
