COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Animal Services is calling on the community to adopt a pet as the shelter has reached its full capacity.

On a social media post, the shelter stated they must create room for incoming dogs and was trying to prevent euthanasia.

The post also went on to state how the shelter would not be able to prevent euthanasia without the help of the community through adoption.

Anyone is not able to adopt a dog, could instead become an adoption ambassador  and foster a dog which will free up space at the shelter.

Also, there are several dogs available for fostering through their general foster program.
