Tropical Storms Close By

There are two tropical depressions that will likely turn into tropical storms over the next few days. But they will likely have little to no impact on us here in the Midlands. The first storm (Tropical Depression 8) is spinning off the North Carolina Coast, but is expected to head harmlessly out to sea. Tropical Depression 9 is off the coast of Cuba. It’s expected to intensify some in the Gulf and then cross Florida on its way out into the Atlantic Ocean. South Carolina impacts will be felt mainly near the coast with rain and some big waves Friday.
