Today’s Forecast

The forecast for Hurricane Matthew remains largely unchanged. We’ll see rain starting on Friday with the most intense rain and wind developing late Friday night into early Saturday. Expect up to 6 inches of rain in the Eastern Midlands – near I-95m, with up to 3 or 4 inches in Columbia. That combined with gusty winds will lead to widespread power outages in the Eastern Midlands and many power outages as far west as Richland and Lexington Counties. Fortunately the storm will move through fairly quickly, such that things will be clearing out on Saturday evening and expect a nice, sunny day on Sunday. Please continue to stay tuned for updates.
