Teacher of the Year 2024 announced
On Thursday, one school teacher received a big honor.
Governor Henry McMaster joined Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver to announce the Teacher of the Year.
Which the honor was bestowed to Braden Wilson, a history teacher at Palmetto Middle School in Williamston.
Wilson received $25,000 and the use of a brand new BMW to provide mentoring while serving as a Roving ambassador for a year.
She is in her 10th year of working in education but prior to her teacher career, Wilson was a teaching fellow at Anderson university.
