Lexington County deputies investigating after body found in woods

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a death after the report of a body found in woods, says the department.

Authorities say they are in the early phases of a death investigation on Roundtree Court near Gaston after a 911 caller reported seeing a body in the woods.

Crime scene investigators and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office will be collecting potential evidence and processing the area around the body.
