Local Living: 4th of July celebration, Fireworks with the Phil, Big Plant Expo

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, get ready for South Carolina’s largest fireworks show this Saturday at the 36th annual 4th of July celebration.

Fireworks will launch at 9:30 p.m. from Spence and Dreher Island.

Public viewing locations for the fireworks include both Lake Murray Public Park sites at the Dam and Dreher Island.

 

Fireworks with the Phil returns to Segra Park for July 4th.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. and the fireworks will begin around 9:15 p.m.

There will also be food and a kids’ zone.

 

The South East Rare Plant market is bringing the Big Plant Expo to the state fairground this weekend.

It’s from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Goodman Building.

You can shop for rare indoor and outdoor plants.

There will also be plenty of food trucks, face painting, glass blowing, and more.
