Chipotle Sued Over Calorie Count

Los Angeles, California (WOLO) — Here’s some news that may be too hard for some Chipotle customers to swallow. Three people are suing the Restaurant chain claiming the company mislead them by passing their Chorizo Burrito off as “healthy”.

Consumers say the restaurant lied by saying the chicken and pork wrap was around 3 hundred calories, when according to them, the menu item may be closer to 7 hundred calories.

Enough of a difference to tip the scales for some who are now suing the company. The lawsuit couldn’t have come at a worse time for the company, who says the introduction of the new “Chorizo Burrito” was suppose to help the chain recover after sales slumped following a highly publicized e-coli outbreak last year.
