SCDOT receives grant to repair I-95 bridges over Lake Marion

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands bridge is getting a much needed face lift.

Wednesday, July 17, Senator Lindsey Graham, Congressman Jim Clyburn, and Governor Henry McMaster announced the State Department of Transportation has received a $175 million grant to repair the I-95 bridge over Lake Marion.

The 4 bridges, originally built in 1968 will be consolidated into one bridge with wider lanes in each direction.

There will also be lanes for bicyclists and pedestrians.
