SCDOT Workers Killed in Deadly Hit and Run, Identified
AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Three South Carolina Department of Transportation workers were struck in Monday morning’s fatal hit-and-run in Aiken County.
According to ABC affiliate WJBF, the incident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. on Highway 421 at South Carolina highway 125, also known as Atomic Road.
According to a Sheriff’s Department spokesman, two people are dead.
54-year-old Anthony J. Redmond and 64-year-old Robert Clark were killed.
Authorities are asking for your help to find the driver of the car of a tab Pontiac grand Prix.
The vehicle was located a short time after the incident
If you you are urged to contact any local law enforcement agency if you know who was driving the vehicle.
The SWAT, the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Sheriff’s office is assisting with the investigation.
In a statement, Secretary of Transportation Christy Hall said in part: ““Our SCDOT family has suffered the loss of two of our team members this morning…”
