RCSD: Man arrested after shooting on Decker Blvd leaves 1 dead, another took to hospital

Richland County Sheriff’s Department says Joshua Cain was arrested for the murder that occurred on Nov.24 at 2732 Decker Blvd.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sheriff Leon Lott has announced the arrest of someone in relation to the murder that happened at Club Space.

Richland County Sheriff’s Department says Joshua Cain was arrested for the murder that occurred on Nov.24 at 2732 Decker Blvd.

Cain was identified as the shooter and a search warrant was served on Nov. 25 at Cain’s home where he was taken into custody.

Investigators have determined that the shooting happened during an altercation between three individuals, one of them being Cain.

The victim that lost her life was not involved in the initial altercation, say RCSD.

Cain is charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He will be booked at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead and another has been taken to the hospital after a shooting on Decker Blvd, said RCSD.

According to the sheriff’s department, deputies were working a detail at Club Space when they heard gunfire behind the building.

Then deputies found two victims and began lifesaving measures.

One of the victims was conscious and alert with a gunshot wound to the upper body area. She was taken by EMS to a local hospital.

The second victim has received a gunshot wound in the upper body area and was found unresponsive. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.

Richland County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the shooting.
