Wednesday Morning Menu: Get your Slurpee and Eclipse Glasses

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — We are only a few days away from the historic total eclipse, but the fun doesn’t stop there. We have what you need to know to stay safe, and how to quench your thirst in today’s Morning Menu.

Eclipse Eye Wear: If you’re still looking for glasses to witness the Historic Event. Richland County library has got you covered.

This Friday the library will hand out the glasses at all of its locations throughout the county.
there is a limit of one pair,  per customer.

Perfect Eclipse Views: With the Total Solar Eclipse just around the cosmic corner you wanna make sure you have the perfect view.

If you’re still looking for a place to watch this once in a lifetime event, The City of Columbia has a few ideas.
City officials have announced five parks as official viewing sites for next Monday’s eclipse.

Eclipse glasses will be available on site while supplies last.
There will also be restrooms and water stations at each site.

Drew Park
Finlay Park
Owens Field Park
Riverfront Park
Southeast Park

Slurpee Madness: Dust off your sand buckets, punch bowls and any other unique container because bring your cup day is back.

Slurpee fans can head over to 7-eleven this weekend from 11 in the morning until seven in the evening to fill up with their favorite flavors.

Regardless of the size, the price will be the same, just one dollar and 50 cents.
