Law enforcement investigating fatal Caughman Road hit-and-run

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police Department investigators said the van involved in the hit-and-run is believed to have been found.

Also, that investigators are currently processing the Honda Odyssey for evidence, and that officers are continuing to determine who was driving during the hit-and-run.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police Department investigators have released photos of a vehicle that was allegedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run, said investigators.

Columbia PD said, a silver 2005-2007 Honda Odyssey was involved in a fatal hit-and-run shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 in the 7700 block of Caughman Road.

The driver collided with a female victim’s vehicle causing her to be ejected from the vehicle.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Javashia C. Morris, 37, of Columbia.

Police say she died 5 days before her 38th birthday.

Investigators want the community to note that the Honda has significant front-end damage, and is missing a front bumper/grill.
