Lexington County Coroner identifies person who died in motorcycle vs. vehicle collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a motorcycle vs. vehicle accident in the Gaston area on Wednesday.

The collision happened on Meadowfield Road near Woodtrail Drive on March 19.

According to Coroner Fisher, Travis Leon Horton, 38, of Pelion was traveling northbound on Meadowfield Road, and attempting to evade police when he hit a vehicle also traveling northbound on Meadowfield Road.

Horton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol, the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT, and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
