Deputies: Man arrested following response to barricaded suspect

Investigators say Wednesday morning a woman came to the sheriff's department headquarters saying her boyfriend assaulted her and threatened her with a weapon.

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–Richland Co. deputies say the man accused of barricading himself inside a home Wednesday is in custody.
Investigators say Wednesday morning a woman came to the sheriff’s department headquarters saying her boyfriend assaulted her and threatened her with a weapon.
Deputies say Dean Boyles had taken the woman’s phone so she could not call authorities.
Deputies say they then responded to the home on horseshoe drive where after attempts to make contact they entered the home and found children inside.
Investigators say Boyles was not inside the home.
Flash forward to Friday, where deputies say he was arrested on his way to work and charged with assault, possessing a weapon during a violent crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
