Coroner: pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle

Sumter, S.C. (WOLO)–The Sumter Co. Coroner’s Office says a woman died after being hit  by a vehicle.

Officials say Asthon Galloway, 32, was struck on Highway 378 near Carter Rd. around 1pm Wednesday.

The coroner says she died on the scene.

The accident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol
