Fort Jackson remembers victims of Sept 11 attacks

FORT JACKSON, S.C. (AP) — Military and civilians at Fort Jackson are to gather to honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The installation’s commander, Maj. Gen. James Milano, is speaking at Friday’s ceremony, which will be open to the public.
The ceremony is to include a wreath-laying, an overview of the events of that day, a display of those still missing after the attacks and a 21-gun salute.
The event is being held in front of the post headquarters outside Columbia.
