Local Living: City of Camden’s small business workshop series, Liberty Day, community campfire, Free Fridays

 

 

LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the City of Camden is hosting their small business workshop series this month and next month.

The workshops will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. onTuesdays and Thursdays at the Camden Library Branch on Broad Street.

The small business tax workshop starts tomorrow.

It’s free to attend but bring a laptop or notebook with you.

 

In honor of America’s 250th birthday this year Liberty Day kicks off this Friday, Jan. 16 at the State House.

From 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 250-fourth grade students statewide will take part in several activities to learn about South Carolina’s role in the American Revolution.

 

You can relax under the stars with a family-friendly night out.

Saluda Shoals Park is hosting a community campfire from six to nine the night of January 30th.

There will be hot dogs, live music, and an optional glow-night hike.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12.

 

Free Fridays are back at Riverbanks Zoo.

That means all Richland County and Lexington County residents can receive free admission every Friday for January and February.

Attendees will just need to bring a valid proof of residency which includes a South Carolina photo ID or a property tax statement.
