Sumter man found hiding in home arrested for burglary

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County deputies say a man who was found hiding inside a home was arrested for burglary.

Around 3 a.m. deputies were alerted by a homeowner that they seen someone breaking into their Cains Mill Road home on their camera.

During a search of the area, deputies found the person who was later identified as Brian O’Steen, hiding with burglary tools in his possession, and took him into custody.

O’Steen was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where he is being held awaiting a bond hearing.

He is being charged with burglary, and possession of implements capable of being used in a crime.
