Ribbon-cutting ceremony held for improvements on Airport Boulevard Corridor

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Wednesday morning (June 2) a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for improvements on the Airport Boulevard Corridor.

Local leaders gathered to celebrate continued momentum on the Gateways Project.

The project is a collaborative effort to create welcoming gateways for residents and  visitors entering Columbia.

Today’s ceremony focused on a one-mile stretch at I-26 and SC 302 through the Airport Expressway.

The Airport Gateway is one of eight such projects throughout the Midlands.
