Richland County deputies investigating early Sunday morning shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C.(WOLO)– Richland County deputies are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning, said the sheriff’s dept.

On June 21, 2026, at approximately 3 a.m., RCSD deputies responded to a possible home invasion call in the 200 block of Sandpine Circle.

Shortly after arriving on Sandpine, deputies received a call for an individual hit by gunfire on Whitton Lane.

Deputies responded and found an individual with a gunshot wound in the upper body area.

Also, deputies were able to confirm that the home invasion call and the shooting were related.

Richland County Sheriff’s Department deputies rendered aid until EMS arrived to the scene and took the individual to a local hospital.
