Mother charged in relation to June 4th Summit shooting
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– RCSD Sheriff Leon Lott says a mother was charged in relation to June 4th Summit shooting.

Sade Grooms was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor on June 18.
Richland Co. Sheriff’s Dept. says, during the investigation of multiple shootings that led to the attempted murder of three deputies, a 16-year-old was charged in connection to the shootings.
It was discovered that the mother of the 16-year-old, Sade Grooms has shown a pattern of a lack of responsibility for her juvenile son, according to the sheriff’s dept.
Grooms was aware of her son’s criminal activity and did not intervene.
She was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where she was released the following day on June 19 on a $25,000 surety bond.
