Lexington Co. coroner releases autopsy results after missing woman’s body found

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the autopsy results of a woman who was reported as missing was found, says the coroner’s office.

Elena K. Moore who was reported as missing on Friday, June 12, autopsy was conducted on Saturday, June 20, at MUSC in Charleston.

According to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, the autopsy did not identify an immediate cause of death.

Examination of the body revealed no evidence of traumatic injury, including no bruising, lacerations, gunshot wounds, stab wounds, blunt force trauma, strangulation, or other external injuries.

As a result, the cause of death remains pending at this time.

The coroner’s office says additional evaluation is required.
