Election officials already prepping for the general election
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – With Tuesday night’s primary runoff complete, the work does not stop for the South Carolina Election Commission (SEC).
SEC officials say preparations are already underway for the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.
“Preparing for an election is a team effort that depends on the dedicated work of election officials and poll managers who support elections in communities across South Carolina,” said Conway Belangia, SEC Executive Director.
Between now and November, election officials will recruit and train poll managers, prepare and test voting equipment, finalize election materials, and provide voters with information about upcoming deadlines and voting options.
