Murdaugh pre-trial hearing set for Friday

COLUMBIA, S.C.(WOLO)– The next pre-trial hearing for Alex Murdaugh’s double murder re-trial will be Friday, August 14, at the Lexington County courthouse.

Judge Debra McCaslin will hear new defense motions including demands for newly uncovered evidence.

And potentially address the location for the re-trial which is set for April 5, 2027.

This after the SC Supreme Court overturned Murdaugh’s double murder convictions over the deaths of his wife and son citing jury interference from Former Colleton County Clerk of Court Becky Hill.
