SCDOT to conduct traffic shift operation on I-20 Westbound over the Wateree River in Kershaw County
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– SCDOT will conduct traffic shift operations on I-20 Westbound over the Wateree River in Kershaw County, say officials.
The traffic shift will begin the night of Tuesday, August 11.
A single lane closure between mile markers 97 and 95 will be conducted to shift traffic from the existing I-20 Westbound bridge to the newly constructed bridge, says SCDOT.
Traffic shift operations are expected to be complete by the morning of Thursday, August 13.
Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes, if possible.
SCDOT encourages drivers to use the 511SC app or visit 511sc.org to plan your route ahead and get real time traffic updates.
Also, SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
