Halloween spending to top $13 billion

(CNN)– The National Retail Federation is estimating Halloween spending will reach 13-and-a-half billion dollars this year (2026).

When adjusted for inflation, that’s more or less the same as last year’s record $13.1 billion dollars in holiday spending.

As for the top selling items, those are expected to be candy, decorations and costumes.

But, it’s also predicted that consumers will spend a combined $800 million on Halloween cards and $920 million on costumes for their pets.

All together, that’s about $115 dollars of spending per person.
