SC recieves C- on infrastructure report card

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina’s infrastructure is improving but it is still not great.

Tuesday, September 22, the American Society of Civil Engineers announced the Palmetto State received a “C minus”.

That’s a step up from the ‘D’ the state received in 2021.

The report evaluates aviation, bridges, dams, drinking water, ports, roads, transit, and wastewater.

Officials say the C-minus grade means South Carolina’s infrastructure is in mediocre condition and requires attention.

The next infrastructure report will be released in 2031.
