Man charged in a 2025 murder sentenced in federal court
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A man charged in a 2025 murder will spend 15 years in prison on a weapons charge.
The U.S. Justice Department says Anthony Reese was sentenced in federal court.
Columbia Police say Reese is charged in the murder of his girlfriend Angela Fuller.
On August 29 of last year, officers say a loaded gun was found in his vehicle, and testing confirmed that gun matched the murder weapon.
Fuller’s body was eventually found near Shakespeare Road and Faust Street.
Reese pleaded not guilty to state charges of murder, unauthorized removal of a dead body, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a stolen pistol.
